Old people can be so crass.  I used to think old = class, but very few have the dignity their age should bring.  For example, several days ago I was sitting at a stop sign, letting cars pass, then, when the lanes were clear, I pulled out only to hear a high-pitched buzzing.  Not knowing what it was, I kept pulling out until I saw it was from a tiny moped driven by an ancient-looking man.  He was in my blind spot and didn't notice him until I was nearly on top of him, but I stopped to let him by.  Instead of waving it off, he stopped in front me and hurled vile swear words at me for "talking on my phone."  How pathetic to debase oneself to such a state instead of exercising forgiveness and restraint.  When I grow old, I don't want to end up bitter and angry like that codger I nearly squished.
